With competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we offer the right opportunities to fit your life and launch or advance your career.Location: Palmdale, CA or Melbourne, FLSchedule: 9/80 work schedule – every other Friday OFF; no telework availableOrganization: Global Supply ChainResponsibilities include:Define and develop material strategies to support program and production needs.Assess supply chain resources; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements.Develop, coordinate, and execute material forecasts and delivery schedules.Participate in make/buy decisions, long?term capacity and resource planning, product phase?in/phase?out, manufacturing ramp?up, end?of?life and product-line management.Lead affordability, cost?savings, and/or process improvement initiatives.Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and meet manufacturing and test schedules.Analyze purchase material supply/demand positions using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.Analyze lead times and identify critical?path procurements.Work with suppliers to ensure on?time delivery at required quality levels for critical components.Prioritize and communicate impacts of current and potential material shortages.Basic Qualifications (Level 2):Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience in Goods Movement, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management, or a Masters Degree with 0 years experience – OR – 6 years of related work experience in lieu of a degreeProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret ClearanceAbility to obtain special program accessBasic Qualifications (Level 3):Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret ClearanceAbility to obtain special program accessBachelor's degree with 5 years combined experience in Goods Movement, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management – OR – Master's degree with 3 years combined experience in Goods Movement, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management – OR – An additional 9 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeKnowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems and experience working with and analyzing large data setsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications:Strong analytical and problem?solving skillsExperience with supplier managementDemonstrated communication skills with the ability to present information in an organized, effective mannerAdvanced knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems and complex data analysisWhat We OfferAt Northrop Grumman, we are on the cutting edge of innovation, building the next generation of sophisticated aircraft to protect our country. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
