Member Relationship Officer

We are seeking a customer-focused Member Relationship Officer to build lasting relationships with members while providing exceptional service and financial guidance. This role is responsible for assisting members with consumer lending needs, opening and maintaining accounts, processing transactions, resolving account issues, and identifying opportunities to recommend financial products and services that support members' goals.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in financial services and 2+ years of sales experience, with a passion for creating positive customer experiences and helping individuals make informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong member relationships through meaningful conversations, proactive service, and personalized financial solutions.
• Assist members with opening, maintaining, and servicing deposit accounts and related financial products.
• Interview loan applicants, gather required documentation, evaluate lending qualifications, and support underwriting decisions.
• Process member transactions and account maintenance requests accurately, efficiently, and confidentially.
• Identify member needs and recommend appropriate products, services, lending solutions, and insurance options.
• Educate members on digital banking tools, online services, and self-service resources.
• Resolve account concerns and provide exceptional service throughout the member experience.
• Partner with internal teams to connect members with specialized financial resources and services when appropriate.
• Achieve individual and branch performance goals through relationship building and consultative sales.
• Represent the organization professionally within the community and contribute to a positive team environment.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in banking, credit unions, financial services, or a related financial environment.
• 2+ years of experience in sales, consultative selling, cross-selling, or customer relationship management.
• Strong understanding of consumer banking products, lending, and account services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business software applications.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for occasional rotating Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within a credit union, community bank, or retail banking environment.
• Consumer lending experience.
• Financial counseling or financial wellness certifications.
• Bilingual language skills.
• Experience opening new accounts, account maintenance, and transaction processing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, WI.

The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $54000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
