The Service Center Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift - is responsible for overseeing outbound operations, implementing effective strategies, ensuring shipping measures and on time delivery, and demonstrating a strong focus on continuous improvement. The role also requires a commitment to safety standards and effective people leadership skills. Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 The ideal candidate is a dynamic and detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage diverse aspects of distribution center operations while promoting a positive and engaging work culture. Key Accountabilities Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations of the regional distribution center, ensuring efficient and timely inbound processes. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency. Implement best practices to maximize productivity in receiving and handling incoming shipments. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve distribution center performance. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues. Conduct regular inspections and implement measures to improve overall product quality. Policy Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures. Uphold safety and compliance standards. People Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of distribution center staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide coaching, feedback, and training to team members to enhance performance and skill development. Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational demands. Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the distribution center. Conduct regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among team members. Investigate and address any safety concerns or incidents promptly. Culture Building: Cultivate a positive organizational culture. Encourage teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center. Qualifications/Requirements Preferred bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. High school diploma required. Proven experience in distribution center management, with a focus on inbound and inventory control/quality assurance operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
