Security Officer

The Security Officer inspects, monitors, controls, and patrols work sites, an assigned facility, and/or people, and may be expected to collect and complete paperwork. Maintains security at all hospital outlets. May conduct safety inspections. The position relies on guidelines and some experience and judgment to complete job and works under general supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Keep daily reports accurate and neat.
  • Checks equipment to ensure safety.
  • Understands the access control system.

  • Treats confidential information appropriately.
  • Regularly reports security incidents to supervisor.
  • Handles emergency/crisis situations appropriately.
  • Demonstrates correct behavior when dealing with violent or potentially violent circumstances.

  • Enforces rules of the organization with pleasant attitude.

Experience, Education, Training, Special Skills, and Licensure:

• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
