Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of disease states. The position is located in Victoria, TX at a hospital facility. Candidates should be prepared to work collaboratively with laboratory staff and clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate laboratory results.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field as required by the client.
• Valid ASCP or equivalent certification required.
• In licensure states, laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty as applicable to the assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience required. Extensive Blood Bank experience required.
• Experience with advanced Chemistry and Hematology testing.
• Experience with Blood Bank systems; familiarity with Cerner Blood Bank preferred.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with Medhost and transitions to Cerner is preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Schedule: 7 on, 7 off with varied weekend hours (9p–7am weekdays; 7p–7a weekends).
• No call.
• Floating to other facilities may be required.
• Holidays rotated; maximum RTO allowed is 10 hours.
