Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with circulate and scrub experience for a busy main OR handling a wide range of surgical specialties.

Details

Main OR setting supporting General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgeries

Patient population ranges from adults to geriatrics

16 operating rooms with an average daily census of 35

Utilizes Epic, Pyxis, and 2 DaVinci XI robotic surgical systems

Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Works 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call

Call requirements include 7-8 calls per 8-week schedule, including 1 weekend call and 1-2 weekend call shifts, plus 2-3 weekday night calls

Call shifts run either 7 PM-7 AM or 7 AM-7 PM

Rare floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of consideration

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required

Circulate and scrub experience required

Experience with vascular, neuro, general surgery, orthopedic, robotic, and urologic procedures preferred

Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems preferred

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Additional Information

Perform circulating and scrub duties across a variety of surgical specialties including vascular, neuro, general, orthopedic, robotic, and urologic cases

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized prior to submission

No RTO requests permitted during orientation week

Holiday coverage required for major holidays including Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day

If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if three occur, one holiday RTO request may be considered

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Previous employees must be away from all facilities within the health system for a full year before returning as a traveler

Travelers who were unable to return to a facility must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before rebooking
