Summary Of Role The Medical Technologist performs routine and specialized diagnostic lab tests requested by healthcare staff, following established protocols and procedures. The Medical Technologist performs routine and specialized diagnostic lab tests requested by healthcare staff, following established protocols and procedures. They prepare specimens for microscopic examination or testing, operate automated laboratory instrumentation, and conduct quality control and assurance procedures. Accurate recording of lab results in designated systems is essential, while adhering to all privacy, safety, and biohazard standards. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related scientific discipline Minimum of three years of advanced work experience in the specialty area Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) is required Ability to operate automated lab equipment and perform quality assurance Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and privacy standards #J-18808-Ljbffr Black Women's Mental Health Institute
