Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join a highly regarded Behavioral Health program in Troy, New York. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, physician-friendly environment with strong clinical support and an established interdisciplinary team.

The psychiatrist will provide outpatient psychiatric care to adult patients within a comprehensive behavioral health program. The team includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, counselors, and case managers who work together to provide compassionate, patient-centered treatment.

Position Details:

• Full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatry position

• Location: Troy, NY

• Provide psychiatric care for adult patients in an outpatient mental health setting

• Join a collaborative team of behavioral health professionals

• Immediate placement available

• Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends and 1:7 weeknights

Job Responsibilities:

The Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist will:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients

• Manage medication treatment and ongoing psychiatric care using evidence-based practices

• Collaborate with therapists, counselors, case managers, and advanced practice providers

• Develop individualized treatment plans to support patient mental health needs

• Participate in scheduled weekend and weeknight call coverage

• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence

• Maintain CME requirements and participate in ongoing professional development

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry (Required)

• Active New York Medical License or willingness to obtain

• DEA registration required prior to start date

• Clean malpractice history highly preferred

• Must not require visa sponsorship

• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required at submission

• Outpatient psychiatric experience preferred

• Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted

• Not accepting Locum candidates

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary range: $318,449 – $354,957 annually (based on experience)

• $25,000 signing bonus

• $30,000 retention bonus
