I’m conducting a confidential search for a Senior Network Engineer – VoIP / Unified Communications for a highly respected Chicago organization undergoing a significant modernization of its technology infrastructure.This is a great opportunity for a hands-on enterprise voice engineer who wants to work in a large, complex, mission-critical environment while helping modernize the infrastructure supporting the organization.We are not looking for someone who simply administers phones. We need an engineer who understands enterprise voice AND the network behind it and can independently troubleshoot difficult problems.What You'll Work With:Enterprise VoIP / Voice infrastructureAvaya or comparable enterprise voice platformsVoIP PBXSIP trunkingCall Center / Contact Center technologiese911, eFax and voicemailQoS and enterprise networkingIDF / Data Center infrastructureCisco networking technologiesWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of enterprise VoIP / Voice Engineering experienceStrong hands-on Avaya or comparable voice platform experienceStrong SIP and VoIP troubleshooting skillsUnderstanding of networking and QoS as they relate to voiceExperience supporting large, complex enterprise environmentsAbility to independently diagnose and resolve difficult technical issuesStrong communication and customer service skillsHealthcare experience is helpful but not requiredThis organization is investing significantly in its infrastructure and technology environment, making this an opportunity to join during a period of real modernization and change rather than simply maintaining legacy technology.Important: This is primarily an onsite position in downtown Chicago/Streeterville five days per week.
