Maintenance Technician II City: Logan Campus Job Location: US-UT-Logan Overview Responsible for the general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep of the Housing Facilities Buildings. Oversee planning and preparation, and completion of work orders to ensure all buildings are safe, reliable, and well maintained. Responsibilities Organize and oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance requests of assigned buildings to ensure all buildings and equipment are in good running condition. Conduct field checks of buildings to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance modifications. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Ensure all safety procedures are applied for boilers, electrical, plumbing, pumps, furnaces, appliances, etc., and keep equipment, vehicles, tools, and working areas clean and in good condition. Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures such as switches, outlets, bulbs, ballast, sockets, fuses, and minor appliances. Perform minor plumbing maintenance such as replacement or repair of leaks, unclogging drains, trenching and laying new lines, and replacing drain hoses. Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems. Create and maintain a positive teamwork environment to optimize department results and objectives. Support a positive relationship with residents, Residence Life Staff, and other teams to ensure good customer service and that needs are met. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of directly related maintenance work experience or related trade. Valid Utah driver’s license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials.
