Engineering Specialist - Materials Engineer

Job TitlePay Range: $30hr - $64.84hrRequirement/Must Have:Masters degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university with 2+ years of experience or Doctorate in Engineering.Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.Related experience includes but is not limited to experience in performing calculations and design, including documentation related to hydraulics, equipment sizing, and overall system design for waste processing, nuclear, refinery, power, or chemical process facilities.Responsibilities:Serve as residing material technology expert to the WTP project.Complete reviews and assigned tasks following procedures while assuring technical adequacy in accordance with company, contract, and industry codes and standards.Coordinate with other groups to resolve issues.Complete revisions to material specifications and design deliverables.Facilitate communication with various stakeholders.Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.Complete assigned engineering tasks within budget/schedule.Support and implement the nuclear safety quality culture in day-to-day work activities.
