Overview Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1362) – Target. Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $19.00 USD per hour. Responsibilities Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard. Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and engage with guests to solve their needs. Provide assistance, solve guest concerns, and communicate current promos, store activities, and events. Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store (and your area) to solve issues and improve guest experience. Promote and explain Target Loyalty programs; assist with application or sign-up as needed. Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices. Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy. Explain and demonstrate features and offerings in the Target App (including Wallet) and direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; assist with enrollment and use of these features. Handle returns following register prompts; collaborate with Leaders as needed while adhering to Target policies and procedures. Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area; restock supplies during store open hours and be available for the guest. Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards. Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, and DU Returns; comply with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws where applicable. Assist with other duties based on business needs. Qualifications / What We Are Looking For You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members. You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding environment where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key. You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak periods). Strong communication skills, welcoming attitude toward guests and team members, attention to detail, and willingness to educate guests about products and services. Ability to communicate on multiple devices, operate handheld scanners, and other technology as directed; able to work independently or as part of a team; maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Ability to handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office tasks as needed. Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance. Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable and prompt attendance. Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift and work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
