Sr. Electrical Engineer (Data Centers)

Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing Group at Jacobs. Responsibilities You’ll provide design work, contribute to team technical collaboration, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist directly with construction on site. You will help establish design requirements and produce construction documents for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low‑voltage communications. You may also manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule for projects and help retrofitting existing building systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering At least 6 years experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus‑style power distribution including conveyance Professional Engineer (PE) license Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications At least 3 years of data center facility design experience Analytical and problem‑solving skills Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams Passionate about buildings and construction Experience in the design of large projects established on greenfield sites Benefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you and the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
