Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – PRN

Location: West Palm Beach, FL 33409

Setting: School-Based

Schedule: Flexible PRN School-Day Hours

Anticipated Hours: Approximately 1–2 hours per week

Collaborative Therapies is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based occupational therapy services to a student in West Palm Beach, Florida.

This is a small, flexible PRN opportunity that may be ideal for a COTA already working in the West Palm Beach/Palm Beach County area who would like to supplement an existing schedule.

Current Caseload

• Approximately 1–2 anticipated hours per week
• Caseload may grow as additional students are identified

Hours are anticipated and may vary based on the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) service minutes and scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Implement treatment plans and interventions established by the supervising OT
• Support the student's functional, fine motor, sensory-motor, and daily living skills within the educational environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records
• Collaborate with the supervising OT, school staff, families, and other members of the student's educational team
• Follow applicable school, company, and professional requirements

Qualifications

• Current Florida Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Ability to work independently while following the plan of care established by the supervising OT
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
