Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)

The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) plays a critical role in providing quality patient care during dialysis treatments for individuals with kidney disease and related conditions. The CCHT is responsible for the operation and maintenance of dialysis machines while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Two Wednesdays a month: 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and clean dialysis machines in accordance with established protocols.
• Welcome and greet patients upon arrival, providing them with essential information about their treatment.
• Explain patient experiences during the procedure to alleviate concerns and ensure comfort.
• Administer local anesthesia as directed and address any physical or emotional concerns raised by patients.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff and physicians to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Respond promptly to emergencies within the dialysis setting to ensure patient safety.
• Create training materials for new staff and develop educational pamphlets for patients.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) is required.
• Strong understanding of dialysis procedures and patient care protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
• Compassionate approach to patient care, with skills in addressing patient concerns.
• A commitment to ongoing education and professional development in nephrology and dialysis practices.

Guaranteed Hours

30 hours per week with a contract length of 13 weeks, starting from 11/16.
