Development Coordinator

Association of Fundraising Professionals

The Development Coordinator provides high-level administrative, project, and prospect management support to Ohio University’s frontline development team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the position supports the major gift team by coordinating donor engagement and fundraising activity, managing prospect information and follow-up, preparing development officers and university leaders for donor meetings, and helping ensure priorities and next steps move forward effectively. The Development Coordinator plays an active role in prospect and portfolio management by preparing reports, tracking activity and next steps, maintaining accurate information in the University’s donorCRM, and identifying gaps and opportunities for donor engagement and stewardship. The position coordinates donor and prospect meetings, including scheduling, background research, agendas, briefing materials, meeting preparation, and follow-up, and prepares materials for engagements involving deans, academic leaders, the President, Provost, Vice President for Advancement, and other university leaders. The position also coordinates calendars, meetings, travel, itineraries, donor communications, acknowledgments, stewardship activities, select development events, and other administrative and project needs of the frontline fundraising team. The Development Coordinator participates in internal meetings, documents decisions and action items, and helps coordinate follow-through on team priorities and projects. Working collaboratively with development officers, academic and university leaders, central Advancement colleagues, alumni, donors, and other constituents, the Development Coordinator serves as an important liaison across teams and proactively identifies opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and processes that strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of frontline fundraising. The successful candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities while anticipating needs and adapting to changing departmental priorities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Association of Fundraising Professionals
