Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Behavioral Health Child Unit | New Grad

Location Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Position Registered Nurse (RN) – Practices under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician, or other healthcare provider. Shift Regular; Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (United States of America) Pay Range $22.75 – $31.50 per hour (actual pay dependent upon experience) What You Will Do Collects data and conducts a focused nursing assessment of the health status of a patient. Participates with other healthcare providers in the development and modification of the patient‑centered health care plan. Implements nursing interventions within a patient‑centered health care plan. Assists in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Provides for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Advocates for the best interest of the patient. Communicates and collaborates with patients and members of the healthcare team. Assists with health counseling and teaching. Delegates and assigns nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified and perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing license in the state of practice. Active license in the state of practice upon hire.
