The Location – Rosebud, SD - Rosebud Sioux Tribe The Rosebud Indian Reservation has large areas of Ponderosa Pine forest scattered in its grasslands; and deep valleys are defined by steep hills and ravines, often with lakes dotting the deeper valleys. It's 922,759 acres include 20 communities. The tribal headquarters is located in the community of Rosebud. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe, more properly known as Sicangu Lakota Oyate, or Burnt Thigh People, are descendants of the Sicangu Oyate of the Tetonwan Division of the Oceti Sakowin or Seven Council Fires. Historically, they were warriors and hunters and expert horsemen. Native plants and wildlife were very important to the Sicangu people and continue to be today. Explore Rosebud The Facility – Rosebud Service Unit Rosebud hospital is a 35-bed comprehensive medical/surgical hospital located in Rosebud, South Dakota. The hospital is the primary source of health care for the Rosebud Sioux (Sicangu Oyate) tribal members, in and around the Rosebud Sioux reservation.

General requirements (Duties and qualifications include but are not limited to): The RN shall provide professional nursing services in the Inpatient Department. Shift times and schedules are subject to change based on the medical needs of the patient population and hospital operations.

• Responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans.
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care.
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted state license from any of the fifty (50) states of the United States of America.
• Current American Heart Association certifications in the following:
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One (1) year experience in Inpatient or specialty experience, as necessary.

Period of performance: 1 year contract with 4 option years. (June 14, 2021 through June 13, 2022, with four 1-year options with performance dates of June 14, 2022 through June 13, 2023; June 14, 2023 through June 13, 2024; June 14, 2024 through June 13, 2025;, and June 14, 2025 through June 13, 2026; respectively.)
