Location: Irving, TX 75063 (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday

• 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM OR
• 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an active Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in Texas to join our growing Fertility Specialty Pharmacy team in Irving, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping patients navigate the prescription and prior authorization process.

In this role, you will receive and process fertility prescriptions, communicate with insurance companies and clinics, and support patients through the prior authorization process. Comprehensive training is provided, making this a great opportunity for pharmacy technicians looking to expand their specialty pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review fertility medication prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
• Process prescriptions according to pharmacy and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify prescriptions requiring prior authorization and initiate the authorization process.
• Make outbound calls to insurance companies to obtain authorization status and resolve issues.
• Communicate with physician offices and fertility clinics via phone and electronic messaging to obtain required documentation.
• Follow up on pending prior authorizations and ensure timely resolution.
• Document all patient, provider, and insurance interactions accurately.
• Maintain productivity goals while delivering exceptional service and attention to detail.
• Manage a daily workload of approximately 20 patient cases per day.
• Comply with all HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician Certification/Registration.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.

Preferred:

• Prior Authorization experience.
• Specialty Pharmacy experience.
• Fertility Pharmacy experience.
• Experience working with insurance companies and healthcare providers.
