As a BrightBee school paraprofessional, you’ll support students in local schools—supporting their behavioral and socio-emotional goals as directed by each school site. The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the more your earning potential is . BrightBee recruits candidates (that's you!) to support local schools and nonprofits. You will use our BrightBee app to claim assignments at schools/non-profits in your area and get paid a week later. Our goal is simple: help schools succeed and give workers the tools they need to grow in their careers.

\uD83C\uDFAF What You’ll Be Doing in East Cleveland Hive What is a "Hive?"

A hive is a geographical region of multiple school districts and sites that you (as a Bee) will be able to claim assignments at. These assignments could be as short as a single day or as long as multiple week/months. You should be willing/able to commute to various school sites in East Cleveland area to be considered.

What Type of Work is Available?

We’re recruiting paraprofessionals for East Cleveland Community Schools, Maple Heights Schools, and Orange City Schools

 

We also are partnered with schools on the west side of Cleveland at North Ridgeville and Lakewood City

What you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort with paying for your background check and permit - as a 1099 independent contractor, you'll be eligible for bonus milestones to help cover these costs as you start taking assignments

To keep students safe , as an independent contractor, you’ll need to:

• Undergo a background check
• secure & pay your educational aide permit 
• Follow safety and reporting guidelines

PLEASE NOTE: Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position.  Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training. The average cost of completing clearance in Ohio for paraprofessional is between $130-180

Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances and provide us with authorization to contact former employers..  Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!

Please note, assignments may require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Hourly range is $18.50-28 (including milestone bonuses based on number of assignments worked and can increase based on demand)
