Job Description:

- Join our specialized Interventional Radiology/Cardiology team, where you'll provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing cutting-edge interventional procedures such as:
- Angiography
- Embolization
- Cardiac catheterization
- Minimally invasive interventions


- Collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to ensure:
- Safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care
- Effective utilization of the nursing process, standards of care, and established policies


- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of duties; adapt quickly without losing efficiency
- Administer medications as ordered, maintaining sterile technique
- Act as a patient advocate, anticipating the needs of the interventionalist
- Recognize and respond swiftly to complications such as:
- Arrhythmias
- Bleeding
- Reactions to contrast


- Collaborate on contrast allergy management and participate in pre-procedure discussions
- Monitor patients during moderate sedation, ensuring safety and comfort
- Function as a scrub technologist, preparing sterilized instruments and anticipating physician needs
- Document vital data accurately while communicating real-time findings to the procedural team
- Provide peri-procedure support including patient preparation and safety verification
- Contribute to department efficiency through effective inventory management and room turnover practices

Qualifications:


- Education:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Desired: BSN


- Experience:
- Required: At least one year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or IR
- Desired: Three years in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab and conscious sedation training


- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Preferred: Certifications specific to areas of clinical specialty (e.g., RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale)


- Skills:
- Ability to provide age-specific, culturally-sensitive, and psychosocial care
- Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred
