Reach Truck OperatorHiring Reach Truck Operators for a Manufacturing Facility in Chambersburg, PA! DayShift Available- 5am-5pm! 2/2/3 schedule! $20.81/hr to Start! Full-Time/Long-Term!Job DescriptionThis Reach Truck Operator role focuses on unloading inbound shipments on the receiving dock, accurately scanning and recording inventory, and safely moving product from staging areas into warehouse storage locations using a variety of forklifts. You will play a key role in the shipping and receiving process by operating sit-down and stand-up reach trucks, using RF scanning equipment, and ensuring that all received shipments are properly documented and staged for put-away in a fast-paced warehouse environment.ResponsibilitiesStage unloaded skids in designated areas for put-away according to warehouse procedures.Use RF scanning equipment to scan barcodes on wrapped skids and accurately enter shipment data into the warehouse management system.Operate stand-up reach trucks (preferably Crown) to move skids from staging areas into warehouse storage locations.Operate cherry picker forklifts (Yale, Crown) as needed to handle and store product in racking systems.Perform loading and unloading of trucks while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.Verify received shipments and ensure accurate entry of all received items into warehouse systems.Follow all safety protocols and equipment operating procedures while working on the receiving dock and inside trailers.Work effectively within a high-volume receiving area with multiple dock doors and frequent truck movements.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and maintain an organized and efficient receiving area.Essential SkillsDemonstrated experience operating stand-up reach forklifts, preferably Crown brand equipment.Experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.Experience with loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.Proficiency using RF scanning equipment to scan barcodes and track inventory.Ability to enter received shipments accurately into a warehouse management or inventory system.Ability to work a night shift schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience on a receiving dock or in shipping and receiving operations.Experience operating Crown stand-up reach trucks and Yale or Crown cherry picker forklifts.Strong attention to detail when scanning, staging, and recording inventory.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.Commitment to following safety procedures while operating material handling equipment and working around moving trucks and forklifts.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.81 - $20.81/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
