Responsibilities
- Perform adult transthoracic echocardiography (2D mode, Doppler CW & PW, color flow mapping) and comprehensive valvular disease studies
- Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as appropriate and document findings accurately
- Evaluate cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, and effusions; include hypertensive heart disease studies
- Produce high-quality images and spectral data; ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Utilize Epic electronic medical record for order retrieval, data entry, and report progression; collaborate with physicians and other team members
- May float to other departments as needed and participate in on-call coverage per unit needs

Requirements
- Certification: RDCS (preferred) with active AHA BLS; ARDMS or CCI certification acceptable per policy
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute hospital experience in echocardiography
- Proficiency: Adult echocardiography including 2D, Doppler (CW & PW), color flow mapping; 3D TEEs; familiarity with pediatric studies is a plus
- Equipment/Process: Experience or familiarity with Canon i700 and i900 systems; Epic EMR experience
- Working environment: Ability to work a rotating schedule, including on-call as required; comfortable with floating to other departments
