Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN requiring 2 years of ICU experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including between like units or sister campus
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR used is Epic

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC state or Compact) required, pending license not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must pass EKG exam with no exceptions
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients within a Level III Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital
• Scrub color required: royal blue and white
• Pre-start modules required, ranging from 4-10 hours
• RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days unless otherwise stated
• Only 1 holiday may be approved during the assignment
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the main campus to be eligible
• Returning travelers must have been gone for at least 1 year to be considered again
• System has a 2-contract limit, requiring 6 months away before returning after the second extension
• First-time travelers are generally not preferred, though acceptance may depend on experience level at manager's discretion
