We strive to provide flexible scheduling to enable work-life balance for our team members while delivering projects on time or ahead of schedule.PositionSenior Controls EngineerLocationUSA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create PossibilitiesSupport capital equipment procurement projects from concept through production launch.Partner with cross-functional teams in design, lean, quality, EHS, procurement, and operations to support new product introductions.Provide control systems engineering support on multiple projects across a variety of applications including general automation, conveyance systems, packaging systems, customized fabrication equipment, plastics forming and piercing automation, and related processes.Review equipment supplier hardware and software designs and ensure compliance with internal standards.Provide input to GE Appliances standards updates.Prioritize safety by working with EHS teams to ensure all processes and equipment protect the health and well-being of our people.Collaborate with automation and robotics engineers to implement innovative, cost-effective solutions.Support factory teams in implementing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving new systems and equipment.What You'll Bring to Our TeamRequired:Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent hands-on experience intechnical/manufacturingdisciplines. 5+ years of hands-on, relevant controls engineering experience with automated manufacturing equipment and processes.Experience with Rockwell AutomationControlLogix/CompactLogixhardware & software, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View.Knowledge and practice of machine safety (ISO 13849, ANSI/A3 R15.06).Preferred:Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators / skilled trades team members).Good communication skills – will be expected to provide project status updates to cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to solve complex automation and controls challenges.Automation integration experience.Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.Experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment and capital equipment procurement.Skilled knowledge of controls software (Rockwell, Emerson, Siemens) and coding structure for ladder logic.
