Join us!Who You AreProcurement Engineer - Staff What You Will Be DoingCoordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products. Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability. Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance. Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement. Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues. Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.This requisition is for a Procurement Engineering position on the Global Supply Chain Engineering Team. This position will support the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Line of Business (LOB). Selected candidate will support ADP, as a technical expert.This position works with Global Supply Chain teams, Program and Subcontract Program Managers, Technical Subcontract Managers (TSM), Supplier Quality, Design engineering and others to identify supply chain disruptions and mitigate issues. Our Procurement Engineers engage with internal and external customers and suppliers to resolve emerging and complex technical issues affecting component on-time delivery and shortages. This role also performs root cause corrective action, supplier evaluations, technical evaluations.
