Welder Fabricator

Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fabrication Technician to support welding, fabrication, and metal assembly operations. This hands-on position involves preparing materials, performing various welding processes, assembling components, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.


The ideal candidate has experience with welding and fabrication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read technical drawings while producing quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Blueprint Reading & Material Preparation

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
• Identify materials, measurements, and processes required for each project.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication.
• Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely.

Welding & Fabrication

• Perform welding using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding.
• Weld and assemble components according to specifications.
• Work with different types of metals and materials.
• Fit, align, and tack-weld parts using fixtures, clamps, and other tools.
• Shape, bend, and modify materials as needed.
• Complete fabrication projects while maintaining quality standards.

Quality Control & Safety

• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for accuracy and quality.
• Ensure work meets required measurements and specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and fabrication tools.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous welding, fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with welding processes and fabrication techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to use measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
• Understanding of safe welding practices and shop procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored welding.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and material handling.
• Welding certification or related technical training.
• Experience with cutting tools, presses, brakes, rollers, or similar equipment.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to safely handle materials and equipment.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
