Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift - 13 Weeks

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, while promoting a patient and employee safety focus within the healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide timely updates on patient information during team conferences and ensure documentation accuracy in the medical record.
• Take an active role in patient rehabilitation programs while prioritizing patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and communicate changes in patient status effectively.
• Offer supervision and guidance to ancillary nursing personnel and ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in team-building activities to foster a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
• Identify personal and environmental safety measures following hospital policies.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift in certain locations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts with a 3x12.0 schedule.
