About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: State license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic experience required Preferred: Trauma Level I or II experience Description: The position is for a night shift Registered Nurse in the ICU. The nurse will work four 12-hour shifts. The schedule includes every other weekend and floating as needed. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in ICU nursing. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Candidates must possess a state nursing license. Epic experience is mandatory for this role. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 2:1. The unit supports interdisciplinary care teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Patients will range from adolescents to geriatrics. The daily census for the unit is approximately 14 patients. Preferred experience includes working in a Level I or Level II trauma center. This position requires management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, and ventilated patient care. The role may involve working in high-pressure situations and requires quick decision-making skills.
