We connect investors anywhere in the world with issuers globally across public and private markets.Overview of RoleThe Associate-VP will sit as a member of our Global Markets Solutions group in New York, specifically in the Private Capital Markets team focused on the origination and execution of private equity capital raises, including direct minority and hybrid capital solutions for growing and mature businesses, as well as distributed private capital solutions supporting sponsor liquidity strategies. The work is heavily skewed towards transactions rather than pitching, with a strong pipeline of deals.The transaction types our Private Capital Markets team cover include:Private equity capital markets: raising equity and equity-linked capital for private companiesMinority equity / non-control transactionsPreferred & structured equity and/or hybrid capital transactionsSyndicated minority transactionsGrowth equity and venture capital raises, including series B to pre-IPO roundsOur team are experts in structuring and managing non-control equity transactions. We partner with our M&A sector coverage and debt advisory teams to provide capital solutions and strategic advice to clients on transaction options, structure, governance, investors, tactics, execution and implementation. Primary Responsibilities: This individual will support end-to-end deal execution, being involved in all aspects from initial pitch through to closing and ensuring a seamless transaction process. The ideal candidate is a mature, intellectually sharp professional with strong experience in Investment Banking & Capital Markets. The role requires the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrate adaptability and initiative. A strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to deepen expertise in the space are essential. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Day-to-day process management and coordination of transaction executionPreparation of financial models and other financial analysisPreparation of marketing materials and other transaction documentationStrategic analysis of governance and structuring options to meet client objectivesSupport transaction origination and sourcing activities, including the preparation of marketing materials and market researchMaintaining organizational infrastructure / databases for the teamContribute to development and management of junior staffSpecific Qualifications:4-8 years of work experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets or related roleUndergraduate degree required; Finance and/or Accounting preferredDemonstrable interest in private equity capital markets, with previous experience in private capital markets and/or M&A preferredSolid understanding of the Investment Banking & Capital Markets, deal processes, and strong relationships with market participantsTrack record of managing multiple projects concurrently in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentStrong analytical, organizational, and Excel modeling skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent communication and presentation skills, as well as confidence interacting with executives at various levelsAbility to support deal teams, set clear timelines and objectives, and uphold high execution standardsFINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses requiredExpected base salary rates for this role in our New York Office will be between $200,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, salary offers are determined on an individualized basis and are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
