Responsibilities
- Deliver post-anesthesia care for adult patients in the PACU, including assessment and ongoing monitoring
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, arterial lines, and hemodynamic status; titrate medications as directed
- Manage pain control, sedation, and recovery milestones; respond to complications and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to transition patients to appropriate units
- Document care and procedures in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs
- Maintain readiness for weekend rotations, on-call shifts, and potential patient transfers; adhere to unit policies

Requirements
- Active RN license (state not specified in posting)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; 2 years in PACU
- Strong critical care PACU skills; high-acuity PACU experience
- Proficiency with arterial lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring
- Large teaching hospital experience preferred; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to float to related units as needed; weekend and call coverage; no block scheduling
- Reliable transportation to and from shifts (public transit not consistently available in the area)
