Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg

• Manage patient care for surgical, trauma, and specific conditions such as gunshot wounds and paraplegia
• Ensure effective communication and handoffs with ED nurses and admitting units
• Collaborate with Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries for comprehensive patient care
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1 on the floor

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg

• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC systems
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg specialty
