SLP / Speech Language Pathologist Ignite Connections and Empower Voices in Sunny Florida - Become Our Speech Language Pathologist What if your next professional journey was about adding meaning to communication - in a literal sense? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Florida's most exciting cities, your influence transcends mere treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. You will unlock possibilities, instill confidence, and foster connections within the community - whether you're guiding young children as they articulate their first phrases or helping seniors regain their autonomy. This position presents a distinct chance to engage with diverse populations across their entire lifespan, all within a blend of outpatient care and occasional inpatient responsibilities. If you have a passion for nurturing pediatric speech development, assisting adults with neurogenic disorders, or exploring cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for the elderly, this is an opportunity that promises growth and satisfaction at every turn. Responsibilities Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing immediate needs while also planning for longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Work in collaboration with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies. Provide education tailored for patients and families, empowering them to support continued progress outside therapeutic environments. Conduct occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout treatment. Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner aligning with state, federal, and organizational requirements. Maintain currency in the dynamic field through ongoing education and professional collaboration. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. License to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting. Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues. Strong interpersonal communication skills, fostering genuine relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Versatile therapy techniques that can accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Robust clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills. Adept with electronic medical records and documentation standards. Benefits Competitive salary aligning with experience. Flexible scheduling to support work‑life harmony with diverse caseloads. Opportunities to focus on specializations such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation. Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. Support for continuing education and professional growth opportunities. A collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork and quality care. About the role In your new role, you won't just dispense speech therapy - you will be a vital part of a mission that uplifts voices, fortifies communication, and cultivates joyous interactions through the simple yet profound act of understanding one another. Your colleagues will not merely be professionals but family; a team that believes in the power of collaboration over competition. Each patient brings a unique narrative, and we trust you to help articulate their story. #J-18808-Ljbffr
