Job Title: Commercial Landscaping Mason

Location: Brownsville, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Based on Experience (BOE)

MEMCO is seeking experienced Commercial Landscaping Masons to join our team for commercial landscaping and hardscape construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing a variety of hardscape features, including retaining walls, pavers, concrete edging, stonework, and other decorative landscape elements. Candidates must be able to work safely, read project plans, and produce high-quality craftsmanship while meeting project deadlines.

• Install concrete and natural stone pavers for sidewalks, patios, plazas, and walkways.
• Construct retaining walls, planter walls, seat walls, and other landscape masonry features.
• Install brick, block, stone veneer, and decorative masonry elements.
• Prepare and level base materials using proper grading and compaction techniques.
• Mix, place, and finish mortar and concrete as required.
• Set grades, elevations, and alignments according to project plans and specifications.
• Operate and maintain masonry tools and equipment, including saws, compactors, mixers, and hand tools.
• Perform layout and measurements to ensure accurate installation.
• Work alongside equipment operators and landscaping crews to complete commercial landscape installations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets project specifications.

• Minimum 2 years of commercial landscaping or masonry experience preferred.
• Experience installing pavers, retaining walls, block, brick, stone, and concrete landscape features.
• Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, and hardscape installation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments.
• Experience operating masonry saws, plate compactors, mixers, and other construction equipment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

• Experience with commercial landscape construction projects.
• Knowledge of irrigation protection and utility awareness during hardscape installation.
• Ability to operate skid steers, mini excavators, or other compact equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility vest.
