Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is a Float Pool position that requires the Registered Nurse (RN) to be available for night shifts, weekends, and holidays. The RN will float to various Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors as needed and will be expected to work in like units and overflow areas.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a variety of Medical-Surgical Telemetry settings.
Float to different units based on staffing needs and patient care demands.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry, accurately interpreting ECG readings.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse with a valid license.
Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience is required.
Ability to pass the Telemetry Competency Exam.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
Documented professional development activities and experience as a charge nurse are preferred.

Additional Requirements

Completion of ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during the onboarding process, with a requirement to pass on the first attempt. A score of 85% or higher is necessary.
Testing is administered through a Zoom meeting prior to assignment, and candidates must test within 48 hours of the job offer.
Orientation occurs biweekly, and interviews will be conducted by the Nurse Manager.
All requests for time off must be presented at the time of submission.
Candidates who have worked in any capacity within the last six months must be separated from prior employment for at least six months to be considered.
