Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and history.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices and the individual goals of each client.
• Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally responsive methodologies.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to facilitate regular check-ins and therapeutic interventions, ensuring clients feel supported throughout their treatment journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, substance use issues, trauma, and eating disorders. You will also work with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, requiring you to adapt your therapeutic approaches to meet their unique needs. Building rapport and trust is essential, as you'll help clients navigate their paths toward mental wellness.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a mental health counseling setting.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy tools.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing culturally competent care.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications are essential, candidates with additional training or experience in crisis intervention, group therapy facilitation, and trauma-informed care will be given preference. Familiarity with community resources and support services is also advantageous as you guide clients through their recovery processes.

Compensation and Benefits

At Trim And Healthy Mental Clinic, we value our counselors and offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 annually. Additionally, new hires will receive a sign-on bonus of $3,000. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
