A contract position is open for a skilled LPN to work one-on-one with a 5th-grade student. This role involves starting each day at the student's home, accompanying them on the school bus, providing attentive care throughout the school day, and returning with the student in the afternoons—ensuring a seamless, safe experience per their IEP and medical orders.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and current LPN license for Georgia
• Previous experience with 1:1 nursing in a school-based setting highly preferred
• Proficiency in monitoring and responding to seizures
• Skills in oral suctioning and management of G/J-tube (feeding tube)
• Ability to administer oxygen and medications as prescribed
• Familiarity with caring for children with asthma and medical complexities

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet the student at home in the mornings and ride the bus to and from school with them
• Oversee and provide daily medical interventions: g-tube feeding, vital sign monitoring, supplemental oxygen if needed
• Carry out prescribed medication administration and manage asthma as necessary
• Be vigilant about seizure management and oral suctioning, intervening according to physician’s instructions
• Maintain clear records and communicate care updates to guardians and the school medical team

This onsite role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with hours running from early morning until afternoon, aligning with the student's school day and transportation needs.
