Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12s)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to departmental protocols
• Float to other units as needed to support facility staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Experience in a Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility environment
• Willingness to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or training
• Familiarity with high-volume emergency environments with 38-bed capacity
