Make an impact by supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with grades K-12 in a dynamic school environment. This contract position is conveniently located near Rocky Hill, CT, and is an excellent opportunity to provide vital services that help students succeed academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility
- Experience working within school settings, particularly across multiple grade levels (K-5, 6-8, 9-12)
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other specialists
- Dedication to supporting students’ diverse communication needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students in grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment outcomes
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions for individuals or small groups
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Provide education and resources to staff and families about speech-language strategies
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute towards holistic student support
