The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Video Editor, to join the creative content department in Los Angeles. The Video Editor will play a crucial role in the post-production process of Insomniac films and videos by creating meaningful compelling videos. This position reports to the Director of Post Production.ResponsibilitiesEdit engaging video content for festivals, brand marketing, trailers, social media, and promotional campaignsAssemble and cut footage into clean, compelling edits that follow creative direction, music pacing, and brand styleOrganize project media, timelines, and assets to maintain efficient and consistent post-production workflowsCollaborate with producers, senior editors, and marketing teams to implement notes and refine edits through multiple review roundsExecute basic finishing tasks including music syncing, sound design, simple motion graphics integration, and preparing cuts for reviewCreate versions of edits for multiple formats and platforms (16:9, 9:16, 4:3, square, etc.) as required for distributionMaintain organized project files and prepare deliverables for archiving, publishing, and handoff to other teamsAssist with asset preparation, media exports, and other post-production tasks as needed to support larger editorial projectsQualifications3–5+ years professional experience in video editing for digital media, branded content, or entertainmentStrong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with solid understanding of editing fundamentals and media organizationWorking knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop for basic motion graphics and visual enhancementsStrong sense of pacing, storytelling, and music-driven editingAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to implement feedback quickly and accuratelyEffective communication skills and ability to collaborate with producers, editors, and cross-functional teamsSelf-motivated and organized with the ability to take direction and execute tasks efficientlySalary Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 USD Insomniac Inc
