Registered Nurse - PICU

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of PICU experience, with preference given to those who are cross-trained and able to float to Adult ICU and Med/Tele units. This position requires a strong foundation in patient care for critically ill children with diagnoses such as MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and neuro conditions, while working in a dynamic, traveler-friendly environment. Candidates must possess current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and preferably NRP certifications. The ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival is required. Skills needed include PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, drains, wound vacs, and comfort with titrating pressors, insulin, heparin, sedation agents, and pain med drips. This role involves working 4 days one week and 3 days the next, every other weekend, with rotating holidays (2/3). The shift involves a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with support from resource nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7. The unit utilizes Meditech Expanse EMR, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing. The position starts on 06/01/2026, with a pay rate of $53.60 per hour. Requirements:

• 2+ years PICU experience or cross-trained to float to Adult ICU, Med/Tele
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and preferably NRP certifications
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start
• PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, drains, wound vacs skills
• Ability to titrate pressors, insulin, heparin, sedation, and pain medication drips
• Flexibility to work 4 days one week and 3 days the next, every other weekend, and 2/3 holidays
• Ability to wear gray, white, or black scrubs with WK monogram; jackets must be gray or black
