About the Position

Job Title

RN – Mother Baby (0.9 FTE, Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze comprehensive patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Implement and manage patient care plans, employing strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity as needed and function as a safety companion in other departments when required
• Perform catch and transition nursing duties within the Mother Baby unit
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary health care team in the delivery of nursing care
• Maintain compliance with all required education, certifications, and professional practice standards including stroke competency requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current Montana Registered Nurse licensure
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; recertification required every 2 years
• STABLE certification required within two years of hire
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to practice modified primary nursing
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and on-call as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Labor and Delivery experience including antepartum, intrapartum, preoperative, circulator, and PACU roles
• Experience functioning in a charge nurse role within a maternal or women's health setting
• Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to manage emotionally challenging patient and family interactions
