Job Summary

The Food Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, preparing ingredients, packaging finished products, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by following production schedules, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring products are produced efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate food processing and packaging equipment according to established procedures.
• Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily output goals.
• Measure, weigh, mix, and prepare ingredients as required.
• Monitor product quality and report any issues or deviations.
• Inspect products and packaging to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform basic equipment setup, adjustments, and cleaning.
• Complete production records and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production areas and equipment.
• Follow all food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and company policies.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and production issues to supervisors.
• Assist with inventory, material handling, and other production-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods & work in hot, cold, wet, or refrigerated environments as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. & frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
