Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: Atlanta, Georgia Contract Length: 13 Weeks Department: 736A Respiratory Care/Diagnostic Services Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend Required Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a leading healthcare facility in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across a variety of clinical settings, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Respiratory Therapist looking for a rewarding 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments. Operate and manage mechanical ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory support equipment. Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results to guide patient care. Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and code teams. Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical assessments. Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, medications, and disease management. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and quality standards. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the Georgia Composite Medical Board Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience Current AHA BLS Certification (Required) Current AHA ACLS Certification (Required) Current AHA PALS Certification (Required) Schedule & Assignment Details 13-week contract assignment Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM Every Other Weekend Required 12-hour shifts in a collaborative hospital environment Important Notes No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered.
