Schedule Straight Nights 7 PM - 7:30 AM; Every other Weekend and Holiday; On Call per Unit Needs Job Description The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams. This role requires monitoring patient progress and implementing individualized care plans to ensure recovery and overall well-being. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, monitoring and assessing patient responses. Document all patient assessments, interventions, medications, treatments, and outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care. Educate patients and families on managing conditions and preparing for discharge. Monitor postoperative patients for complications and ensure proper management of recovery. Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Recognize and respond to emergencies, providing immediate care as necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required. Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required. High acuity unit experience, and mentor/charge experience required. Current and unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse License.
