Job Description:Design DirectorMarketing & Growth Team*New York location required for 3 days weekly onsite collaboration in our Dentsu offices**Dentsu is seeking a Design Director to join our growing Marketing & Growth team. The Design Director is an integral part of the entire business development team. You will do hands on concepting, campaign development and design, as well as manage a team of designers and pitch to clients. The ideal candidate must be able to concept from scratch while collaborating with the business development design managers across a number of touch points throughout the pitch life cycle. These touch points include written materials, microsites, Keynote decks, and a variety of physical and digital deliverables. Solid design, typography, layout and technical skills are the table stakes, but what sets the ideal candidate apart is passion, speed and the ability to pivot at any given moment. This role will be a player/coach; leading from the front and coaching junior team members as needed.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand design briefs and timelinesConceptualize pitch look and feel and create templates to be applied across assetsPrepare rough drafts and present ideasFormat and design Keynote presentations and InDesign documentsWork with pitch leaders and agency teams to produce final designRequirements8+ years of experience as a production or presentation designer in a comparable environmentAbility to work flexible hoursIn-depth knowledge of Keynote and Powerpoint as well as the Adobe Creative SuiteVery detailed-oriented with impeccable and well-organized digital filesDeep knowledge of presentation specs, resolution, incorporating video and motion filesAbility to design comps or charts needed for presentationsAbility to take a design brief and execute a functional and pleasing presentationAbility to articulate a design POV to a large group of stakeholdersSelf-starter and proactive to get the direction and content needed to meet presentation deadlinesAdditional InformationThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,425 - $140,000.
