Associate Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving, delivering, and stocking central supply items as directed. Attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and excellent communication abilities are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive processed purchase orders and maintain reliable sources for high-demand items.
- Deliver supply requests to various departments, manage Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) levels, and collaborate with departments on adjustments.
- Conduct physical inventories and assist with quarterly and annual cycle counts.
- Lead staff in inventory counts, adjust quantities and locations as needed, manage supply recalls, and report discrepancies.
- Coordinate with purchasing on pending orders, PAR changes, and inventory projects.
- Anticipate supply needs and communicate potential interruptions to management and customers.
- Assist customers visiting central supply, ensure proper documentation, and maintain supply logs.
- Manage mail shipping and receiving, stock office supplies, and support special projects.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Two years of inventory experience, ideally in healthcare settings.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient with current technology, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn and use electronic medical records and inventory systems effectively.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Professional and clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with medical supply chain terminology and procurement processes is a plus.
- Adaptability to the evolving demands of healthcare supply management.
