Role Description The Medical Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Farmington, NM, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of an inpatient medical unit. This role manages clinical and non-clinical staff scheduling, assignment of patient care responsibilities, and coordination of interdisciplinary care to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered services. The Medical Unit Manager monitors quality metrics, patient flow, and regulatory compliance, and implements process improvements to enhance outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement. Responsibilities include mentoring and evaluating team members, supporting ongoing education and competency development, and collaborating with physicians, advanced practice professionals, and other departments. The role also participates in budget planning, resource allocation, and policy implementation to align the unit’s operations with organizational goals and standards. Qualifications Clinical expertise in Medicine and Medical Affairs, with the ability to oversee patient care standards and support evidence-based practice。 Experience in Clinical Research and Research, including interpreting clinical data and supporting quality improvement and outcome measurement initiatives。 Proven ability in Training, including onboarding, coaching, and developing clinical and support staff。 Current, unrestricted RN or other relevant clinical license in the state of New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain), with prior leadership or charge experience in an acute care setting。 Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced hospital environment。 Familiarity with hospital regulations, accreditation standards, and trauma center requirements; experience with performance improvement and patient safety initiatives。 Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required; advanced degree (e.g., MSN, MHA, MPH) preferred。 Commitment to equitable, inclusive, and patient-centered care and alignment with a tobacco-free, community-focused hospital environment。 #J-18808-Ljbffr
