Responsibilities Craft new and modify existing equipment in cross-discipline design teams (software, electrical, control, and mechanical engineers). Develop documentation for designs, modify, test, and debug kernel modules and drivers. Develop code in C, C++, Bash, and Python on bare metal and under RHEL-compatible Linux distros in containers. Manufacture and support equipment in collaboration with New Product Introduction, Field Service, and Operation teams. Innovate and provide outstanding solutions that meet manufacturing and production needs. Support and improve existing designs. Qualifications 8+ years of embedded software experience collaborating with hardware and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. 3 years of embedded software experience collaborating with hardware. Proficiency in C and C++ with a comprehension of analog circuitry. Familiarity with lab equipment, schematic, and PCB layout. Knowledge of PCIe and Linux kernel/module/driver. Proficiency in Python and Bash, Linux, and GNU toolchain. Preferred Qualifications Experience with schematics and PCB layout. Knowledge of collaboratively working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, SMUs. Proficiency in PCIe/NVMe and Linux kernel/module/driver and Linux storage devices.
