Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective maternal and neonatal outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate for cesarean sections and manage labor and delivery patients seamlessly.
• Monitor patient vitals and assess progress, adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC and Pyxis systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during antepartum, postpartum, and recovery phases.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including certifications such as ACLS, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
• Float within skill set to Antepartum, Postpartum, and PACU as needed, maintaining optimal patient ratios.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact nursing license at time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency circulating during cesarean sections.
• Maintain current certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
• Ability to work 3x12.5-hour night shifts (19:30-6:30).
• Willing to float and work every other weekend, with flexibility for holiday assignments.
